KPT Series, 500°F

Polyimide tape is a versatile material used in high temperature applications. Ours is Made in America from an amber-colored film that has a silicone-based adhesive. This provides unmatched quality for aspects such as tear resistance, electrical insulation, conformability and clean removal with little to no residue – even after use in elevated heat environments. It is also a flame retardant tape.

The 1 mil film excels in powder coating and ecoating masking when oven temperatures exceed 425F for extended periods. May be used up to 500F for one hour or less. Polyimide tape also sees use in printed circuit boards (PCB), conformal coatings and wave soldering applications at extreme heat for very short periods. Manufacturers use it to wrap sensors, diaphragms and coils, while auto suppliers find it useful for switches in seat heaters. Ideal for 3D printer beds, especially for PLA and ABS filaments.

See our "Technical Specifications" tab below for other options including thicker polyimide material and alternate adhesives.

Rolls are 36 yards long and can be cut in custom widths upon request. Viadon slits all tapes in-house! PLEASE Contact Us if you do not see the width of tape you need listed below. Single roll and case quantities are available.
