• Typical Masking Uses: Masking for circuit board plating, masking of many printed wiring boards during solder stripping, and precious metal plating of fingers.
• Typical Splicing Uses: Splicing of silicone treated papers.
• Color: Red / Pink
• Carrier: 0.9 mil Polyester film
• Low stretch polyester film for machine, as well as hand application.
• Polyester backing reduces stretch and recovery of tape and associated uneven stop-off line.
• Adhesive: 2.7 mil pressure sensitive blended silicone and rubber adhesive system.
• Thick adhesive coating reduces undercutting because adhesive helps block out solutions between fingers.
• Solvent clean up of the board is recommended to facilitate subsequent soldering.
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of purchase.

• Must be firmly pressed down by equipment with rubber-covered rollers. Hand rolling usually does not provide enough pressure. A vivid outline of the circuit leads usually indicates that adequate pressure was used.
• Tape generally performs better when no ovens are used to heat tape and boards.
• Clean parts thoroughly before applying tape.
• Apply tape to dry surfaces only.
• Tape is for intermittent, one-time use only.
• Store rolls on end in a cool, dry place.
• Shelf life is 12 months from date of purchase.
