Explore Masking Solutions for Threaded Holes; good to 600°F

Viadon's Silicone Flangeless Plugs (SFP's) mask unthreaded blind holes but are especially well suited for threaded holes. Compared to standard tapered plugs, they can be twisted into blind, threaded holes tightly with the ribs holding the plug more securely. This can be extremely usefu when a strong seal is required to prevent leaks in anodizing or blow-outs in powder coating or ecoating.

The shallow taper and narrow handle allow for complete masking while reducing shadowing for complete coating. Color coded with a convenient pull handle, SFP's are easy to insert and remove and are re-usable. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600°F / 315°C.

  • Masking 101 Helpful Hints
    • Flangeless plugs not only mask threaded holes well, but they can be used for blind and straight-walled holes as well.
    • Try cutting the plugs to shorter lengths if the plug does not engage until the top/larger portion of it. The handle makes it well-suited for fast insertion/ removal situations.
